Park of the Canals

Saturday February 13th, 2010 Trevor and I spent the morning at Park of the Canals here in Mesa, AZ. This thirty-one-acre park featured the ancient canal systems of the Prehistoric Hohokam Indians. Trevor enjoyed the large playground and we walked through the desert botanical garden that featured trees, shrubs, and more than twenty-five varieties of prickly pear cacti. Our dear friend Ryan Krings was out for the weekend from NE. So he and Matt were taking advantage of the 81 degree temps and golfing.

PHX Zoo

Friday February 12th, 2010 Trevor and I spent a few hours at the PHX Zoo.

After the Zoo we stopped at Chipotle for lunch and Trevor was asleep in his wagon.

Arizona Museum of Natural History

Thursday February 11th, 2010 Trevor and I enjoyed a few hours with the dinosaurs right here in Mesa, AZ. Animated dinosaurs, a "real" roaring waterfall, movies filmed in Arizona, the old Mesa jail-complete with bunks and bars-a Hohokam village, and a look at the Lost Dutchman Mine...the Arizona museum of Natural History has it all for children and parents alike! The region's only natural history museum takes its visitors on a trip from the age of dinosaurs to today through changing exhibits with a southwestern flavor.

Ladder

On Sunday February 7, 2010 we were doing some painting in our kitchen. Trevor saw his Dad climbing the ladder and felt he needed to do the same.

Potty Trainer Seat

Something really exciting happened at our house on February 3, 2010. Are you ready for this? Trevor went potty in/on his potty trainer seat. We had just took the seat out of the box that evening. So it was the very first time/try. Matt and I were so excited. We started clapping and laughing. It made Trevor stand up and clap, laugh and jump. It was awesome! Trevor received an M&M for the job well done at 21 months. Love him so much!
